Eden Friction Logs

Friction Kilns are a modern solution for generating smoke for various purposes such as commercial food smoking, BBQ smoking, and more. They use specially cut and kiln dried wooden blocks called Friction Logs to generate the smoke.

A friction smoke generator works by pressing a wooden log against a spinning friction wheel revolving at high speed.  Once the friction has generated heat up to 240°C the log will start to smoulder, and the smoke is drawn into the smoking chamber.

All Eden Friction Logs are of the highest quality across all wood types by sourcing our logs from well managed and sustainable resources.  The friction logs are planed on all 4 sides and are evenly dried to less than 20% residual moisture in drying chambers. They are then individually checked to pass a final inspection process.

All Eden Friction Logs come in various sizes and varieties including Oak, Beech, Cherry, Hickory, and Chestnut. They are available in different quantities, starting from as few as needed up to a maximum of 224 logs per pallet for 80 x 80.
