Corn Cob

Eden Corn Cob is manufactured from European Seed Cob. This is a by-product from the maize industry. Once the cobs are collected from the fields after being stripped, they undergo a grinding and sifting operation to obtain two parts. The granules are obtained from the heavier parts (the crown) and the lighter parts from the outside of the cob are used to make flour.

The granules are supplied in world recognised grades:

GM8 2.0 – 3.0mm
GM12 1.5 – 2mm
GM16 1.1 – 1.5mm
GM20 0.8 – 1.1mm
GM30 0.4 – 0.8mm
GM80 0.18 – 0.4mm
Flour 100 Mesh

Corn Cob Uses:

Vibratory Finishing is a term used to define a process for the polishing or mechanical removal of flashing or burs. This procedure is carried out in a Rotatory Finishing Bowl. The process within the bowl will deal with many small components at a time to create a perfectly finished product.

Eden Corn Cob is also used as a soft blast media. The soft, elastic robust nature of this media means that it will clean and finish off surfaces, without damaging the surface of the blast area.
